Worship the Lord

                     God is “worthy” to be praised. King David was a great worshiper. He says, “I will call upon the Lord who is worthy to be praised” (2 Sam 22:4). The Book of Revelation mentions the eternal occupation of the 24 elders: “The twenty four elders fell down before Him who sits on the throne, and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power” (Rev 4:10,11). The crowns are worth nothing unless they are placed at the Lord’s feet and not on our heads  



Worship is of higher order than even thanksgiving. In thanksgiving we praise God for what He “gives;” in worship we praise Him for who He “is.” This means, we shift our concentration from the “blessings” to the “Blesser” Himself!

The entire Bible is Christocentric—
